Production of nano- and micro-components at industrial scale for breakthrough technologies
Project descrition
The project concerns the development of a service for the customisation of nano- and micro-components (i.e. glass dispensing nozzles, semiconductor beams, sapphire nozzles, steel micro-filters) on an industrial scale to meet the requirements of markets for breakthrough technologies such as electronic micro-printing, 3D micro-printing and microfluidics using focused ion beam (Ga-FIB) and femtosecond laser technology.
We offer a customisation service for nano- and micro-components (focused plasma ion beam, Xe-PFIB) that meets the quality requirements of the market, however, technological constraints make it impossible to ensure a continuous supply for the current growing market demand, while reducing the cost of components required by end customers. The current low supply due to component processing costs means that breakthrough technology markets are developing more slowly than they could, the service being developed will significantly accelerate their development. The project will develop a service that allows machining on an industrial scale, apply Ga-FIB technology and develop a special tray, enabling mass production and resulting in a significant reduction in the cost of a single component. Additionally, in the planned development work, the entire process will be automated. The proposed improvements are characterised by global innovation. Thanks to our achievements, it will be possible to develop markets related to the use of our machined components, i.e. to develop the technologies of the previously mentioned markets. The developed service will be addressed to entrepreneurs both in Poland and abroad.
