We are pursuing the project no. FEDS.01.02-IP.01-0015/24 titled ” Increasing the efficiency of the production of glass dosing microcomponents through process optimization and the implementation of image recognition algorithms “, co-financed by the European Union under the European Funds for Lower Silesia 2021–2027 programme.

The project aims to develop a process innovation in the field of optimizing the production process of microcomponents.

As part of the project, Nanores will conduct a series of experimental development works aimed at increasing the efficiency of the production of glass dispensing microcomponents. The main activities include the design and production of a new holder enabling simultaneous processing of many components on the DualBeam device, automation of modification and quality control processes using image recognition algorithms, as well as the construction of a prototype station for the production of semi-finished products.

The Nanores project is aimed primarily at companies from the advanced technology sector, especially those operating in the microelectronics, 3D microprinting and microfluidics industries. The direct beneficiaries will be companies in need of precise microcomponents, such as glass dispensing nozzles, which are used in printing and laboratory systems. The improved production of Nanores will contribute to increased availability of components, which is important for the development of new technological applications. The project responds to the needs of the European market, which is dynamically developing towards local, precise production of components in line with the idea of shortening supply chains and strengthening the technological independence of regions.

The implementation of the project will bring a number of important results. The main effect will be the implementation of a process innovation that will increase the efficiency of microcomponent production. The introduction of automation and our own production line of semi-finished products will enable cost stabilization, independence from external suppliers and shortening the order fulfillment time. Additionally, a scientific publication and promotion of the results at international fairs are planned, which will increase the company’s recognition and the export potential of services.

We are pursuing the project “Production of nano- and micro-components on an industrial scale for breakthrough technologies”.

The project received financial support from the European Union under the European Funds for 2021-2027 – European Funds for Smart Economy.

Project Value: PLN 21,272,506.30
Amount of European Funds Contribution: PLN 14,035,719.44

The project focuses on developing cutting-edge technology to enable the industrial-scale production of micro- and nanocomponents. The manufactured elements will include semiconductor beams, ultra-precise nozzles, nanoneedles, and molecular filters. These precision components are essential for rapidly growing sectors such as electronic microprinting, 3D microprinting, and microfluidics.

As part of the research and development efforts, we plan to create an innovative processing method using focused ion beam technology (Ga-FIB) and a femtosecond laser. Key activities include:

  • Investigating new, more cost-effective technologies to reduce production costs while maintaining high product quality.
  • Developing specialized solutions such as an advanced reloading system for manufactured components and methods for charge dissipation from each element.
  • Automating the production process using machine learning algorithms to manage production and quality control, enhancing the overall system’s efficiency and precision.

These innovations are expected to set new global technological standards.

Additionally, the project activities involve protecting intellectual property and promoting the new technology in international markets. We plan to participate in international trade fairs and conferences and file a patent application under the European patent protection system.

Target Groups:

The project is aimed at companies and industries utilizing micro- and nanocomponents, such as manufacturers of microprinting equipment, medical devices, and microfluidic systems. Our innovation will contribute to the development of breakthrough technologies that are currently limited by high costs and insufficient availability of components. With our technology, it will be possible to not only reduce costs but also speed up deliveries, unlocking new development opportunities across many sectors.

Project Objectives:

  1. Technological Development and Automation of the Production Process
The primary objective of the project is to develop an innovative technology for the automated processing of materials using a focused ion beam (Ga-FIB) in combination with a femtosecond laser. Automating this process with machine learning algorithms will significantly improve production efficiency, reducing costs while ensuring the highest quality.
  2. Internationalization and Intellectual Property Protection
Another objective is to expand our presence in international markets, particularly in Europe. We plan to enhance our brand recognition through participation in industry events and secure our innovations with a patent application under the EPO procedure.
